Public Space

Removing height limits is the first step in giving away public land. It’s part of a struggle for the future of public spaces in the City of San Diego, and the future of coastal communities.

Land already owned by the public:  Should it be kept for public use?   Or turned over to developers for private development?

Large development corporations aim to take away the 30 ft Coastal Height Limit, to allow luxury high-rise buildings.

The result would be excessive density,  heavy traffic congestion, and less access to the coast for all San Diegans.
